How much water to drink?

Hi everyone,

It's been extremely hot outside lately and our body is dehydrating a lot. I used to drink about 2 liters of water everyday but on hot days like today I drink more than I normally do. Did you drink enough water today?
Talking about water, there's always been a question in my mind about drinking water and losing weight. Does it really work? Does it flush away all the unnecessary fats from our body? How does it work? How much water do I have to drink per day?

I've read several articles about water and the effects. Drinking water is healthy and very beneficial for your body but there has also been some rare cases of negative effects of drinking water more than your system can handle. We are wrong to think that water would flush any fat from our system; please throw it out of your thoughts like I did. Several researches have been done to test the effect on a group of people who drank 8 glasses of water per day and on a group who drank less water than them. The result showed that over a course of a year, people who increase their water consumption by 1.5 liters a day would burn an extra 17,400 calories, which is approximately 5 pounds weight loss. The body attempts to heat the ingested water which increases the pace of calorie burning by up to 40%.

So the question is how much water should I drink? As from what I've read, I would say 1 glass of water at night before you go to bed, 1 glass in the morning when you wake up, 1 glass before each meal and 1 glass after. Thus, about 8 glasses of water a day. If you work out then, you should add 1 more glass of water to your list. Drinking water before meal slows down your eating and also satisfies your hunger so it can stop you from eating more than you should. Even though water has a very small effect on weight loss I wouldn't ignore the fact that people who drink enough water tend to lose more weight than those who don't.

We should also be careful and not drink gallons and gallons of water in a day hoping to see the effect quicker because drinking too much water that can cause serious kidney damage. So we should consult our doctor to know what the right amount for our body is.

Thank you for reading. I hope you guys liked it.

Lots of love.
